So we built the tool we wished existed.

We met and fell in love in Hawaii six years ago while we were both at Stanford. Movie nights quickly became a cornerstone of our relationship — but they almost always started the same way: forty-five minutes of scrolling, a few passive-aggressive “I don't know, what do you want to watch?” exchanges, and somehow ending up rewatching something we'd already seen.
We had a notes app full of friend recs, a list of films we meant to watch, and more streaming subscriptions than we'd like to admit. James wanted the action thriller. I wanted the rom-com. We just wanted something we'd actually enjoy.
The problem wasn't a lack of content — it was discovery.
So we built the tool we wished existed: one that helps you find films and shows through your own taste, the people you trust, and the hidden gems you'd never have found otherwise — for anyone who's opened Netflix, scrolled too long, and ended up watching nothing.
Built late at night, with the people who already know your bad takes — not by a model that's never met you.
Recommendations come from the people who know you, not a model that doesn’t.
Every feature is better with friends. We design for the second tap, not the first.
What you watch is emotional. The product should feel like it belongs in your living room.
An algorithm telling you what to like.
A shelf built by people who know you.
A feed mining your attention.
A ritual that ends in a single watch.
A graveyard of saved tabs.
Stuff you’ll actually press play on tonight.
