In the gritty world of boxing from the 1930s to the 1980s, ‘The Legacy’ delves deep into the tumultuous history through the lens of legendary trainer Cus D’Amato. As he mentors iconic champions Mike Tyson, José Torres, and Floyd Patterson, Cus confronts the sinister influence of mafia kingpin Frankie Carbo, formerly of Murder Inc., now controlling the dark underbelly of boxing. Battling against the Mafia-controlled International Boxing Council and facing off with Tony Salerno, the film unveils a gripping saga of determination, corruption, and the relentless fight to carve a path for the next generation of aspiring boxers in a world where shadows dictate the rules.
